Terms & Conditions
Terms and Conditions of Enrollment and Residency
Last updated: June 2026
Please read this document carefully. By submitting an application, completing a digital transaction, coordinating a reservation via digital channels, or checking into our campuses, you enter into a legally binding contract with Centro De Meditación Las Pirámides Del Ka.
These terms govern your residency, your participation in our curriculum, and the legal protections of our physical and intellectual property.
1. Legal Identity and Official Communications
All references to "the Center," "the School," "we," "us," or "our" refer strictly to the registered legal entity in Guatemala:
Official Legal Name: Centro De Meditación Las Pirámides Del Ka
Physical and Legal Jurisdictions: This contract governs your residency and conduct across all physical properties operated by the Center, including:
The Lakeside Center: Las Pirámides, Barrio 3, San Marcos La Laguna, Sololá, Guatemala.
The Mountain Center (El Arka): Las Pirámides 2, Finca El Arka, Las Canoas Altas, San Andrés Semetabaj, Sololá, Guatemala.
Official Administrative Contact Channels:
Email: info@laspiramidesdelka.com
Any formal notifications, legal correspondence, or administrative disputes must be submitted directly to the email address listed above to be recognized as valid.
2. Booking Framework, Financial Transactions, and Currency Rules
Reservation Methods
Reservations are exclusively initiated when an official application form is completed and submitted through our website interface (laspiramidesdelka.com) for the Moon Course, or coordinated directly via our administrative email (info@laspiramidesdelka.com) or verified official WhatsApp accounts.
A booking is only finalized and established once it has been reviewed, accepted, and confirmed directly by the authorized resident teachers of the Center. The Center does not recognize or authorize any external third-party booking agents, aggregate retreat networks, or digital middlemen. Any attempt to reserve or transfer a space outside of these direct, internal channels is invalid and will not be honored.
Payment Infrastructure
Preferred Settlement (On-Site): Our primary and preferred financial framework is for all course tuitions and accommodation fees to be settled directly in person on your scheduled arrival day during your physical check-in at the designated reception desks.
Accepted Payment Media: On-site payments are accepted via major credit cards, debit cards, Guatemalan Quetzales (GTQ), or United States Dollars (USD).
Online Transactions (By Exception Only): To ensure integration with local banking structures, our website does not utilize automated payment processing systems (such as integrated PayPal or Stripe gateways). If a student explicitly requires or requests an online payment option prior to arrival, our official bank account information can be provided manually via private email coordination after the initial application form is approved.
Strict Currency Quality Requirement: If settling your balance on-site in USD, all physical banknotes must be in unblemished, crisp, and pristine condition, matching the quality of notes newly issued directly from a banking institution. Local banking frameworks in Guatemala strictly reject bills with even minute tears, stamps, handwritten marks, excessive folds, or ink blemishes. We reserve the absolute right to refuse any physical currency that does not meet these rigorous criteria.
3. Absolute Cancellation, Interruption, and Refund Protections
Scope of Enrollment: Full-Month Cycles vs. On-Site Drop-In Flexibility
Our financial structures match the specific tier of commitment you establish upon booking. We accommodate both full-cycle immersive students and flexible on-site visitors under distinct rules:
Full-Month Advanced Bookings: Registrations initiated via our website application form and finalized in advance via email-coordinated bank transfer require full payment for the complete 28-day container. Once processed, these funds are strictly non-refundable.
On-Site Drop-In Flexibility: Visitors arriving in person at the designated reception desks have complete freedom over their schedule. There is no requirement to commit to a rigid number of classes or days upfront. You may pay for a single class, a block of classes, or a weekly stay either one-by-one over time or in a single transaction.
The Upfront Payment Rule: The singular, non-negotiable requirement for all drop-in visitors is that all services must be paid for in full before they are rendered. You are required to settle your payment at the designated reception desk before entering any Temple, joining a class, or accessing any offering of either location. We do not operate on a tab system; post-service billing is strictly prohibited.
Immediate Non-Refundability: Every transaction, whether for a single drop-in session, a week of residency, or a full month, is final. Once funds are exchanged at the designated desks or online, they are immediately non-refundable.
Early Departures and Course Interruptions
If you enroll in the full 28-day Moon Course and choose to leave the properties, discontinue your studies, or break your retreat before your scheduled departure date, your financial balance for the remainder of the month is forfeited.
The Continuation Credit: To honor your intent to study, full-month students who leave early will be issued a physical receipt detailing their departure date. This receipt acts as a time-bound credit, allowing you to return during a future cycle to complete your remaining weeks of study. This credit features a strict expiration date, is non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash. Short-term weekly or daily drop-in visitors do not qualify for continuation credits.
Residency Extensions
If you initially register for a short-term stay (such as a single week) and later feel the internal call to extend your residency or transition into the full course, you must apply for an extension at the designated reception desks. Extensions are never guaranteed. Approval is strictly contingent upon physical pyramid availability, cabin turnover schedules, and the space constraints of the sanctuaries.
Center Disruption Protocol
Environmental Adjustments (Natural Disasters): In the event of force majeure, severe weather disruptions, or natural disasters that force a temporary physical closure of our facilities, your dates will be systematically rescheduled. No monetary refunds will be granted; your enrollment will transfer directly to the next available, safe cycle.
Instructor Continuity: Our teaching staff functions as a unified collective. In the event of teacher illness or unexpected absence, resident instructors seamlessly assume coverage for each other's schedules. The daily curriculum will proceed exactly as planned, and adjustments to specific facilitators do not constitute grounds for financial reimbursement, credit generation, or course alterations.
Logistical Relocation and Transportation Costs (El Arka)
The final five days of the Moon Course (the Week of Silence) are traditionally conducted away from the lake at our high-altitude mountain sanctuary, El Arka. This geographic shift is an intentional asset designed to provide the deep isolation necessary for your integration.
Operational Flexibility: The decision to relocate to the mountain is variable. The Center retains the absolute administrative right to alter this layout and host the Week of Silence entirely at the lakeside San Marcos campus if weather conditions, facility maintenance, or specific cycle dynamics require it. The physical setting of the silence week is determined solely by the directors.
Student Financial Responsibility: In the event that your cycle transitions up the mountain, all transit, shuttle, or personal travel expenses to and from El Arka are your sole financial responsibility. The Center does not provide, organize, or subsidize individual transportation.
Non-Compliance Clause: Disagreement with the final location selection or a refusal to pay personal transit costs up the mountain constitutes a voluntary withdrawal from the curriculum. If you choose not to join the group at the designated location, you forfeit your seat for the remainder of the cycle without monetary reimbursement or credit.
4. Metaphysical Nature of Services and Medical Disclaimer
Spiritual Framework Notice
Centro De Meditación Las Pirámides Del Ka functions strictly as an esoteric, metaphysical, and initiatic training facility. This is not a medical facility, a therapeutic clinic, or a psychiatric stabilization center. Our courses, lectures, ceremonies, and individual therapy modalities provide spiritual perspectives and personal discipline frameworks. They do not constitute, nor are they substitutes for, professional medical diagnoses, psychological therapies, clinical psychiatric treatments, or pharmaceutical prescriptions.
Health Disclosures and Pre-existing Conditions
Deep metaphysical study, sustained periods of silence, and daily physical Hatha Yoga require foundational psychological and physical stability.
Mandatory Waiver: All guests are required to sign a physical health and liability waiver upon arrival at our reception desks.
Disclosure Requirement: You are legally obligated to disclose any severe physical ailments or chronic mental health conditions during your application process. This includes, but is not limited to, schizophrenia, clinical psychosis, severe bipolar disorders, clinical depression, personality disorders, or any other severe psychological, psychiatric, or chronic physical conditions that may impact your safety or the safety of the collective.
Medical Clearance: If you navigate any severe psychological or physical conditions, you must present a formal, signed letter of clearance from your licensed psychiatrist or medical doctor explicitly stating your fitness to participate in extended silent meditation and energetic training.
Emergency Authority: If an unexpected physical or psychological emergency manifests during your residency, the Center reserves the right to contact your emergency contact on file or coordinate external emergency medical intervention at your sole financial expense.
5. Sanctuary Codes of Conduct and Right of Immediate Expulsion
To preserve the safety and energetic clarity of the physical containers, we enforce zero-tolerance regulations. The Center reserves the absolute legal right to immediately terminate your residency and expel you from the properties, without warning and without a refund, if you violate any of the following rules:
The possession, distribution, or consumption of alcohol, illicit drugs, or non-prescription altering substances anywhere on the properties.
Any intentional disruption, verbal intrusion, or ongoing loud behavior that violates the quiet zones or compromises the integrity of silent retreats.
Vandalism, structural alterations, or intentional damage caused to the pyramid cabins, common structures, or the sacred temple spaces.
Any activities that violate the local statutory laws of Guatemala.
6. Limitation of Liability Regarding External Businesses
Limitation of Liability Regarding External Businesses and Personal Property
The territories surrounding our facilities in San Marcos La Laguna and San Andrés Semetabaj feature various independent operators. Centro De Meditación Las Pirámides Del Ka holds zero legal liability or financial responsibility for services, incidents, thefts, damages, or injuries associated with third-party businesses. This includes, but is not limited to, nearby private parking lots, independent boat transport (lanchas), public tuk-tuks, local mountain transports, external tour guides, or off-site food vendors. Your interactions with these external entities are managed entirely at your own risk.
On-Site Personal Property Responsibility: The Center operates as open-air campuses in a developing country. You are solely responsible for the security, monitoring, and safekeeping of all your personal belongings, valuables, electronics, and travel documents throughout your stay.
The Security Mandate: You are required to lock your private pyramid doors and completely secure all windows whenever you are away from your cabin, attending classes, or sleeping.
The Theft Waiver: Centro De Meditación Las Pirámides Del Ka assumes zero legal or financial liability for any lost, missing, damaged, or stolen personal property on our premises, regardless of whether the item went missing from a common area or from inside your private pyramid due to unlocked doors, open windows, or unauthorized entry.
7. Intellectual Property Restrictions and Sanctuary Preservation
The teachings, instructional materials, published books, internal oracle systems, and specific structural frameworks of the Moon and Sun Courses represent proprietary metadata developed by our founder and our lineages over four decades.
Media Prohibition Inside the Temples: You are strictly prohibited from recording audio, capturing videos, or taking photographs inside the Temples, the Esoteric Library, or of any internal reference materials and books without the explicit, written permission of Chaty Secaira or an authorized resident teacher.
Commercial Protection: You are legally prohibited from reproducing, distributing, digitally publishing, or commercially teaching the specific "Del Ka" frameworks, proprietary diagrams, or manual systems outside of this institution without direct written authorization from the legal entity owners.
8. Governing Law and Legal Jurisdiction
This contract is constructed, interpreted, and governed entirely by the national laws of the Republic of Guatemala. In the absolute rarest event of an unresolved legal dispute, administrative lawsuit, or formal litigation between a guest and the Center, both parties explicitly waive any other municipal or international jurisdictions. All legal actions must be filed and handled exclusively through the competent courts located in Santiago Atitlán, Sololá, Guatemala.
Acknowledgment of Terms
By checking into your pyramid, paying your initial fee, or taking your seat inside the morning meditation circle, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions.
