Most guests arrive in Panajachel from Guatemala City (3½ hours) or Antigua (2½ hours) by bus, which can be quite exciting even if you do not have a chicken sitting on your lap. In Panajachel you can take a lancha to San Marcos, which takes an additional 45 minutes as it will probably visit two or three villages on the way. These boats leave from the public dock called Moyet Tzanjuyu. The last lancha to San Marcos leaves Panajachel at about 7pm, but the Las Pirámides reception closes at 6:30pm.

Despite what the guidebooks say, the boat arrives at the San Marcos central dock and not at the Las Pirámides private dock. From here walk left for half a minute and take the path uphill past Posada Schumann. After about 200 metres you will see the entrance-sign to Las Pirámides on your left. You can find the reception in the vegetarian restaurant.

If you are driving and coming from the Interamericana: take the turnoff at Km 148 towards Santa Clara La Laguna, then on to San Pablo and San Marcos. You may park your vehicle in a private parking near the village center, which is not operated by Las Pirámides.

The information in these pages should contain enough material to answer all your questions. If you still need to contact the Centre, please e-mail to info@laspiramidesdelka.com. You can also call (502) 52057151 or (502) 52057302. Please note that it is not possible to make reservations, but that it is quite rare that there is no space the next day in case Las Pirámides is full.
